The measurement of harmonics analysis allows a permanent based control of one of the most important aspects of power supply quality. Such important possibility, up to now, was reserved only to high-cost devices.

STAR3 HARMO breaks this price barrier bringing, for the first time, harmonic analysis into the panel analyser market.

Measures

Models

It measures all the parameters listed in the above tables.

It includes an RS485 output with multi protocol capability: Modbus RTU (BCD and IEEE) and Modbus ASCII. The importance of communication and low cost components can now include the RS485 port as a standard feature. Although initially there is not the interest in creating a network of instruments, this possibility is still available for future developments. The instrument is equipped with 2 relay outputs. The outputs can be adjusted for the reporting of alarms, the generation of pulses or the remote control through RS485 port. The function 'alarm' may be associated with different measures, such as V, A, W, THD%. The relay has a maximum and minimum threshold; it can be set either hysteresis, and the delay time. All the settings can be corrected through the keyboard. If used in 'Pulse' mode the relays generate pulses proportional to the associated measure.

Also in this case the behaviour is adjustable from the setup menu. In the mode of "Remote Control" the position of the relays is determined by an external matrix device (PLC, PC, etc.) through the RS485 line. This is very convenient for load shedding application. For each harmonic order of K there are the following available values: The accuracy of harmonic measurements is totally independent from the fundamental frequency.

It is the simplified version of the previous one and it does not display the most complete harmonic spectrum but only THD%. It is equipped with the 2 relay outputs.
